ABOUT US

​We are a military brokerage company servicing exclusively the United States Military Exchange Services. We work together on one side with outstanding vendor clients and on the other side with the Exchange retail partners from all military branches to best serve the military customer. We strive to hire the strongest Make-up Artist, Cosmetologist, and Estheticians available as Beauty Advisors in-store, training them globally through our major market training seminars, our JHS Team Site, powerful vendor-driven conference calls and one on one communication with our dynamic field management team.

​WE KNOW OUR CUSTOMERS. We are familiar with the unique challenges of military retail and have navigated the waters for years. Many of our management and in-store support staff are current or former military dependents. We are a diverse group because we serve a diverse group. We understand the culture and we listen to our customers so we can bring them the brands and service that they love.

WE KNOW OUR CLIENTS. We keep our ear to the ground and stay connected to the latest trends of the beauty world. By focusing solely on prestige, we can quickly adapt and flow with the ever-changing trends of the market. We work with brands we represent to educate our management, Beauty Advisor staff, and customers in the brand philosophies and product knowledge of each brand in our portfolio.

Jane's Story

JHS Sales & Service, LLC began in October of 2008. After 30 years in the prestige business and working for 3 of the largest prestige cosmetic/fragrance and retail companies in the world, it was time for me to follow my passion. My husband, Hal, had proudly made his career in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Major in the 509th Airborne Infantry. So, the two of us decided, along with our daughter Sarah, to start a company that married our two worlds – beauty and military.

​We poured our life savings into this venture, not setting out to raise a cold corporation, but to follow a dream. We wanted to start a business where we could pursue our passion, have fun, and be able to focus on family. That’s what JHS really is – a reflection of our family. All of my and Hal's kids – Ashley, Jake, Hayley and Sarah – have been involved in this dream and we couldn't have accomplished what we have without them. In fact, JHS just stands for Jane, Hal and Sarah – we are family oriented down to our name!
I wanted to build a company that could provide service to our troops and their families in a very special way. I had started behind the counter and had worked every level of retail, so I understood the challenges and needs of our customers. I knew there was something different we could bring to the "party."
 
My husband, Hal, soon made my dream his dream. He joined our company to work as Field Sales Director for nearly 10 years, and he showed just as much passion for cosmetics, skincare, and military retail as he did for his football team, the OU Sooners! In 2017, Hal ended a long battle with cancer and made his home in heaven. I know he’ll always be a part of what we do at JHS, and it’s because of him that we serve our U.S. armed forces with such pride. ​
